Well there's always the second and third tallest structures in the world, which I just posted about in my blog :P. Seriously though, those are not really worth your time. What part of North Dakota? If the western part there is always Teddy Roosevelt National Park to see lots of bison and whatnot. If the Fargo area I'm told we actually have a lot of good restaurants here.

I will probably be all over. The cell company I work for (the Deathstar) aquired other Cell companies in North Dakota and South Dakota so I will probably be flying into Fargo. Company expense account so what food do you recommend? I should actually find out more tomorrow but will be flying in Sunday night most likely. If I can get to Teddy Roosevelt I will be bringing my camera for sure!!! Thanks for the heads up.

Erik you couldn't be more right.

I personally recommend Passage to India, Santa Lucia (Greek/Italian) and the Speakeasy (Italian). Taco Shop if you want fast food and Space Aliens if you want to see a restaurant full of... aliens. :) I haven't been to the really fancy expensive places downtown but I'm sure there are reviews online.

Thanks Denise they sound wonderful, but typical of big business they have changed their minds and are now sending me to South Dakota. Glad I hadn't booked anything yet

I have only been to North Dakota to see Denise, which is a good reason to go, but I don't have any tourist advice, sorry. We hit a Mexican restaurant and a Chinese buffet, both fine but I couldn't remember their names if I tried, and we drove around Fargo a bit. I do know that North Dakota spends the least on tourism promotion of all fifty states, I guess because those two towers are such natural draws and just sell themselves.

Maybe a rifle would be better than a shotgun; the state is flat and there's nothing for miles, like most of the Midwest. Just tonight, I watched a pretty lame episode of ER about a bus teetering on a ravine hundreds of feet deep and I thought, where exactly in Chicago is this?

Yeah they are sending me to the Badlands instead, I would have liked to get together with Denise if I had made it up there. As it is I may go and see Mt. Rushmore since at one point I will be only 20 min away, something new for me to see at least.
