Erik, especially if they use older (as in starting to rotten) tomatoes - a smell I absolutely loathe.

I think I'd go. It looks like a lot of fun, and even if I only did it once, I'd have the memories and could say that I tried it. But I'd probably shave my head first, because getting that gunk out of my hair looks like it would be difficult. And even though it's nerdy, I'd probably consider goggles or other eye protection, because otherwise I'd probably be out quickly as soon as the citric acid hit my eyes.

Yeah, there's no way I'd bring a nice camera or phone or clothes. It's a day for old beat-up clothes that are ready for the trash.

After it was over, I probably would either desperately want spaghetti or pizza right away, or I wouldn't want them again for months.
