Our Shetland Sheepdog is better than a big fat collie. :) Some people call them miniature collies.

Great observation Jackie. Several people recently asked my opinion in purchasing an iPod. Both of them were looking at the 8GB nano. While flash memory is great, I recommended the 30GB video iPod which is approximately the same price. Both of them decided on less storage because the nano was smaller and "cute".

Yes, people certainly do like electronic devices such as Ipods and cell phones to be as small as possible. Me I just like cheap things so I have neither :).

We finally got Philip's baby pictures developed and he was so little and cute and fluffy like a teddy bear! Now he is not all that "mini" I'm afraid, he's firmly in the "medium-sized dog" catergory. He is big enough to stand on his hind legs and snatch whatever he wants off the kitchen counter.

Umberto Eco wrote a whole bunch about this in his Travels in Hyperreality, fo' shizzle.

Do people still say "fo' shizzle," by the way?

Curiously, nobody ever declares themselves in the largest category of weight when they join a dating site, even when that's clearly where they belong.

Heheh.

Fo' Shiz, Kris. My latest RI/NE cultural lesson came in the form of the "pizzelle" -- something I had never seen or heard of before, but is apparently enjoyed around here by anybody and everybody with an Italian grandmother. (Jackie???) I guess I don't need to tell you how I thanked my benefactor for her Christmas goodies. ;-)

I will have to check out some Umberto Eco, fo' shizzle.
