In this remake of the biblical-era epic, Jewish prince Judah Ben-Hur is condemned to slavery after his boyhood best friend falsely accuses him of an assassination attempt. Years later, it's time for Ben-Hur to take his revenge.

Erik Bates: “It was ok.”

I don't know if this is a re-make of the Heston film, as I have never seen that one. I know it is based off of a 19th century book.

I appreciated them putting the goings-on in this movie into a historical context, considering how the plot of the movie was taking place during the time of Jesus and his ministry.

Overall, however, it was a good movie, but nothing outstanding.
