Scott Hardie: “It ruled.”

While watching this film, I was increasingly amused each time it found a new way to incorporate some other extreme sport into the action, as each turn in the plot required the hero to snowboard, para-sail, grind a railing, etc. It's thoroughly preposterous, but is there any other way to make such a film? I think it started as a rip-off of Bond but became more of a tribute and eventually sought to overshadow Bond, though I doubt that's possible; Diesel is anything but suave. Fewer silly clich├ęs and some sense of fun outside of the action scenes would have helped.
