Does anyone want a free domain name and web page for a year? They offered me that for renewing thecedarsband.com and nobody we know seems to want it. It is a NoMonthlyFees.com Version 4 Web Hosting Account.

Um OK - It looks like you would have to create an account here: (link) and then tell me your billing username and then I would have to transfer the credit to you. I could be wrong.

Umm... you sure you want to leave that (your e-mail address) there, Denise?

Scott Hardie | December 20, 2005
When I set it up for you, Denise, I activated the account myself and then initiated a transfer. But I leave it up to you two.

It seems like the company is just giving them away. Good policy I guess: Hook your friends for the first year and they're paying subscribers year after year thereafter. I don't mind giving it, either.

My e-mail address is pretty easy to find and I don't get *so* much spam I guess.

Scott: I tried activating the account myself and it wouldn't let me using my e-mail address, erm, I guess I was supposed to use Dave's but I didn't have that at the time. Hopefully it works out. Don't you think their billing side leaves something to be desired as far as user-friendliness, though??

I haven't heard back from their billing dept yet nor can I get in touch with customer service. I just want the stupid thing setup already :)

Scott Hardie | December 23, 2005
Yes I do, Denise. It's not easy to read, or pleasant. It reads like they're shouting instructions at you in grade-school language. And that's not even getting into the tech support interface, which is more of the same.
