This cute list deserves to be shared.

Could you name a few life lessons, large or small, that you learned from your father?

Mine taught me:

- If it looks infected or serious, don't mess around. You're not a doctor. Go see someone who is.

- When you're paid for the amount of time worked, don't lie or inflate the hours, but do count every last minute. There are consequences to undervaluing your time that go beyond money.

- There are two monolithic institutions that will always win in the end no matter how long and hard you fight against them. One is the IRS. The other is the companies who send you junk mail.

- The best piece of meatloaf is the end piece. There is no room for debate on this.

- You can pet a cat, but if you don't pick one up and cuddle it once in a while, you're missing out.

- You'll never get rich by saving money. Invest it in things that will bring a return even if those returns aren't necessarily more money.

- If you don't come home from work tired, you're not working hard enough.

- Being late is an instant sign of disrespect.

- Always be faithful to your wife - a moment of gratification is not worth a lifetime of guilt.

- Good friends are rare, great friends rarer still. Treasure them.
