Fall TV

I've seen one episode of Elementary (I think it was the second show) and was fairly intrigued. Jonny Lee miller is just quirky enough to be taken seriously and Lucy Liu is engaging as the reluctant doctor. I've fallen in love with TV shows like this before only to see them cancelled after a season. Keeping my fingers crossed for this one.

Have you seen the BBC Sherlock? I'm curious how they compare.

I couldn't stay with Revolution....I liked the concept, I loved the reliance on pirate age weaponry but the CW like teen angst and wooden acting just turned me off

Watching the BBC Sherlock homes....I like it, more traditional than Elementary but also younger feeling

The BCC Sherlock is fun! Every scene works on so many levels at once that I think I could watch the series several times and still not catch everything. I'm a little tired of the prominence of James Moriarty in seemingly every Sherlock Holmes adaptation, considering that Moriarty was such a minor presence in the books, but I guess I'm guilty of doing the same thing in Gothic Earth.

anyone seen Arrow? trying to decide of another comic based TV show is worth my time....on a good note Walking Dead has started I can't wait to sit down saturday and watch it (yes I know its on Sundays but I save it )
I'm only up to Eps #3 and so far I like the almost non existant presence of Moriarty

I hear that Arrow and Elementary have both been picked up for a full season. That sounds like good news.
If Survivor's current season was noteworthy in any way, it would give me something to talk about, as I don't see many other shows. :-(

We just watched season three of Sherlock, or series three or whatever Brits call it. What a nose dive in quality after the first two seasons that I raved about above. The show opted for flashy style over substance in mystery-solving, and spent way too much of its precious little time (only three episodes per season!) on character relationships which are not its strong suit at all. I can no longer recommend the series, or at least, no longer recommend it past the first two years.

Seen any good new shows debuting this season?
I've heard good things about Last Resort and 666 Park Avenue as campy fun, both of which wear their Lost influences on their sleeve (and in one case, their cast).
