That's just F*@ked up right there.... That looks like it would be as bad as the "It's a small world" ride at Disney World. And if anyone here as has been on that ride you'll know what I'm talking about.

Kris Weberg | February 21, 2006
Mike, why did you have to mention that ride? I swear it'll take surgery to get the song out of my head now....

Mike Eberhart | February 22, 2006
Kris,
Have you been on it recently? I was just down there this past October and I rode it with my kids. This actually was the second time that I have ridden it in my life. Anyway, they remodeled it since the first time I rode it. The remodeled version looks like the person that did the work was high on LSD or something. The colors are wacked out. If I knew how to post pictures on here, I would post some so you all could see what I'm talking about. I felt like I was in anime hell... :)

Yeep.

That sounds infinitely worse, yes.

But it's cool that you did it with the kids. For some reason, kids of a certain age range love that ride.

Ok, I uploaded some pictures to the hosting service that Lori recommended. Hopefully you can click these links and see the pics. If not, then I suck at html.... If you can see these, just think about the mind numbing music that is playing while you ride this ride. It's maddening...

Heh, my brother hates the ride, mostly because it broke down one year when he was on it and he had to sit there for like 30 minutes listening to the song! When his family and my wife and I went to Disneyworld in November last year, he really didn't want to go on the ride, but his wife talked him into it.

It's been a really long time since I've been on it, like not after turning 18, so yeah, I was kind of shocked when I saw the colors.

Eric, don't base the rest of Disney World on that one ride. The rest of the parks are a million times better. This ride is just one of the classics so they keep it. I would rate the parks as this, Magic Kingdom, Epcot Center, MGM Studios, then Animal Kingdom. I haven't been to Animal Kingdom so that's why I rated it last. The rest of the park is great. But Yes, the Small World Ride is horrible. I was really amazed what they did to it. Not good.

Epcot is my favorite by far. I could travel the world, but let's face it – I'm a typically lazy, paranoid American who'd rather dip his toes in the water by perusing the international "pavilions" at Disney than actually get up off my ass and visit a foreign country. And Disney does an amazing job of immersing you in the spirit of each country as perceived by Americans; even the waiters in the French restaurant are snobs. :-) I never get tired of going there for a weekend visit.

MGM Studios is another favorite, but I guess it helps if you romanticise movies in general. I'm not a thrill-seeker into roller coasters, so to me, the laid-back spirit of MGM Studios is preferable to the excitement of Universal Studios.
