"So what does your girlfriend do for a living?"

"She works on Wikipedia."

"Oh! That's pretty cool! You mean she's employed at their headquarters up in St. Pete?"

"No, I mean she sits around the house all day editing Wikipedia."

It was a real conversation I had. I think it's pretty funny, but I've told it to four people now and gotten blank stares every time. Either it's not as funny as I think it is, or there's something wrong like they don't get the concept of editing Wikipedia for free. I suspect the former.

"My favorite restaurant used to be Ezra, but it's not as good now. The head chef was married to the manager, but he divorced her and opened his own restaurant across town."

"Did he call it Better Than Ezra?"

Tony Peters | August 25, 2009
yes that's funny

Amy Austin | August 25, 2009
Funny, yes.

Did he also include a bakery at this restaurant? Ezra Pound Cakes, perhaps?

I think it's funny, but I get blank stares and silence when I tell it. Just wondering. Thanks.

I think it's funny, but I love Better Than Ezra. I believe that story is not far from how Better Than Ezra actually got their name...
