There's a new page on Pirate Paradise that shows who earned the most gold recently. You can see who's doing especially well today, this week, this month, and so on, rather than just who's doing well overall.

The point is to show who made the most progress against the eventual goal of 10 million gold coins. For this reason, financial setbacks such as hires and promotions are counted against each player, as are losses in battle. If you spend a lot of money, you'll drop off the chart until you earn some again.

Next January, the page will begin to show earnings within the last year, information that isn't very helpful until then, since it's the same as Lifetime.

While I was at it, I updated the chart of players on the main menu to display today's biggest earners.

Feedback and questions are welcome, as always. Thanks!

Oh my GOD! Get my name off the top of the lists! Your system is flawed somewhere. I haven't won a non-merchant battle in a long while.

In fact, I got 3 9000+ gold matches in progress of which, short of a miracle or mistake by my opponents, will drain me dry very soon. lol

OK, I took care of the trouble! :D Carry on!

Nice, stats are awesome! I'd also be curious to see player's lifetime totals, not including what they've spent.

I'm pleased with how this turned out too. The daily scoreboard isn't too useful because there's way too much fluctuation due to merchants, but the week and month and quarter are useful. When I have more time, I'd like to clean up the layout of the charts a bit, make it so that you can add your own line into it if you're not one of the top 7, and maybe make a gains-only version of the page as Matthew described.

Those would be awesome upgrades.
