Aren't there two different kinds of clam chowder?
Tomato soup, especially the creamy kind made with milk, is a favorite of mine too. Pairing it with a buttery grilled cheese sandwich is pure comfort. A thick chicken noodle soup with lots of chewy bits is similarly relaxing; I guess I look forward to turkey noodle soup after Thanksgiving.
Kelly says split pea soup was forever ruined for her after she got food poisoning from it. I don't know, it seems to me like a gross soup to begin with; I can already imagine that it tastes the same going down and coming up.
