I have been persuaded to give credit for two alternate answers in Pirates Week, the 10/7 Controversy & Scandal goo, and the 10/9 Literature goo, that numerous players made. In both cases, I found images of someone else that were mislabeled as the intended celebrity, so I gooed them and published them, but players guessed the person actually depicted in the image instead of the person that I intended. In the case of the Controversy & Scandal goo, the clue and category didn't really match the alternate answer, but in the Literature goo, there was no way to tell the difference. This has resulted in some players gaining a few partial towers back that were lost, but no complete towers. Look for these goos to show up in a future Do-Over Week.

I want to stress that I have chosen this resolution because I feel bad about my own lack of proper preparation in creating these goos, and for choosing a theme that lends itself to these kinds of mix-ups. This decision does not set any precedent for future reversals, especially for source images that I use correctly but are mislabeled as other celebrities when players find them online. My thanks to the players who wrote to me about these.
