I've been listening to:

The Faint
Lost in Translation Soundtrack and
my boyfriend Jesse Thomas' new CD release on Keep Recordings. End Shameless Plug.

So tell us! I like experiencing new music.

I've had the new Distillers album for a few months and I'm consistently impressed every single time I hear it. These kids have so much energy. It's invigorating to hear.

Other recent buys, less strongly recommended: Less Than Jake, Southern Culture on the Skids, Sahara Hotnights, White Stripes, Donnas, White Town, Kylie Minogue, and a whole lot of classic rock. Viva eBay!

Hi Anna, I listened to Jesse's sound clip on there and it's pretty cool. Does he sing, too?

As for me, I haven't bought much new music lately. I'm sure everybody already noticed the Hidden Cameras CD in my recents if they look at such things. In honor of Gay Tragic Comedy though, that album is very gay and very pretty...

Yay, new music to explore! Jesse sings a little too, yes.

Scott Hardie | March 29, 2004
I like Jesse's album-that-is-not-an-album! I find it makes a calming accompaniment to my work. I wished it fit in my CD changer though. :-(

I don't really listen to new music, since most new music is crap. However...last night I went to see Prince's first show from Los Angeles (it was beamed to theaters across the country), and we were all given a copy of his new CD "Musicology". FANTASTIC CD, and as a long-suffering Prince fan, it's an extremely welcome treat.

BTW: his live show this time around is AWESOME. If you can get a ticket...by all means go see him.

And in other news good for me, Morrissey is now part of this year's Lollapalooza.
