Sad sad day...

One of the first albums I ever bought was AM/FM and listened to it repeatedly as an impressionable youth. I still quote it to this day.

Heheh... you're probably right about that, and I myself was struck by the irony of it while starting the discussion -- doesn't make me less inclined to feel disappointed, though.
Pussy farts. (Nobody talks about those anymore...)

George on death:

Amy Austin | June 24, 2008
Actually, I just watched this on HBO a couple of months ago and found myself thinking, "Ol' Georgie is getting up there himself (in age)... wonder how much longer/how many more shows and thoughts on death he'll be sharing with us in the years to come..." And even though he was basically old enough for it to be no really huge shocker, it still has a sort of surreal, ironic effect -- to have seen him on stage only months before he died, looking pretty okay for a guy of his age (and demeanor). ;-D George Burns lived to be 100 after all... and it was still a bit unbelievable to see him go. I guess that's just the unavoidable first stage of grief, even if only fleeting for a celebrity or acquaintance. At least, that's the way I see it.
