Can you get out of the room without looking up the answer on Google? (Knowing how some of you play the goo game, I'll bet that's a resounding "no." :-P) You'll need the number 1994 to play; it normally can be found at the URL mentioned in the game, but the site is down.

Brag about your victory here if you can defeat it. Took me about twenty minutes.

An interesting exercise in mouse-clicking... took me about the same. And no, it never even would have occurred to me to use Google to solve!!! (Makes me suspicious of *you*, though, Scott... ;-DDD)

I finished in four to five minutes. Wait, I meant forty -five minutes. Damn my typos.

The Viridian Room is much harder... I think I may have developed carpal tunnel trying to get out of there in the last couple of hours, and I haven't even found all of the clues yet! Looks like all but two or three, but I'll be damned if I can figure out what to do with about half of them!!!

I think it's this way on purpose, to get you to spring for their three guides (priced in yen, hahaha) that will help you unlock the secrets of their little game! Fortunately for me (or E, rather), my cheapness factor narrowly beat out my level of curiosity! If anyone wants to collaborate on it with me, however, I'm totally game! ;-DDD

Now... on to today's ridiculous goo... ;-P (Not that I'm "whining" here!)

Copuldn't solve it. Cheated. Discovered that, for whatever reason, one of the clickable locations int he game doesn't do anything when I click it, meaning I couldn't have solved it if I'd kept going.

Amy Austin | May 16, 2005
I read the same thing from one of the previous players when I finished. Having played it again directly upon solving it (and discussing it with E about the same), I decided that there is actually some timing and/or sequencing involved to the clicks, i.e., you won't necessarily hit the spot that you're supposed to until you've done something else or you have to repeat the action a certain number of times. I am guessing that your problem was with finding the second ring, right?

If you think that one was hard, you should try the Viridian Room!!! (Or is that the one you're talking about? I solved it not too long after complaining about it...)

Checked another walkthrough. Even if there's some sequencing, I can't get the metal rod, because the only part of the bed that moves is the pillow.

Amy Austin | May 16, 2005
The bed won't move... but I know what you're talking about. It's a tricky little maneuver between views. It was one of the harder ones for me also. It's at the foot of the bed, and I'm not exactly sure what click triggered it. Nothing actually moves -- it's just a view that suddenly appears when you click the right spot around the foot (or head?) of the bed... under one end or the other, if I remember right.

BTW, we were in your neighborhood last night, Kris... on the way back from a family visit upstate.

Scott Hardie | May 16, 2005
If you're still trying, Kris: Turn around until you see bed in the lower left corner and the dresser in the lower right corner. In the lower left corner, click on the floor just above the bed.

Eh. I quit awhile back and started playing Super-Punch out instead. Take that, Bald Bull!

random clicking does not a fun game make. I wrote a funner game when I was 13 (I haven't accomplished anything whatsoever since, though! but I do have some respect for myself at age 13)

Anna Gregoline | May 17, 2005
I agree, Denise!

Amy Austin | May 17, 2005
Well... there's a bit more to it than that -- especially in the Viridian Room -- but I can see what you're saying.

Denise Sawicki | May 17, 2005
Did you get English words when you rang the bell in the Viridian room? I think that mighta helped me. I got nonsense characters. I tried to load the game in English, same deal...

Amy Austin | May 17, 2005
Huh -- odd. I was given a choice between English & Japanese... it worked fine for me in English.
