I don't have the stamina to do that any more. I can easily stay awake through the movie; that's not the problem. It's that I'm sluggish the next day, and my sleeping routine gets disturbed for several nights afterwards. I tried it again recently with a late show of The Avengers, not the premiere just a plain late-night show on a Saturday, and I felt so tired for days. I love movies, but no movie is worth feeling like that.

One other movie-viewing phenomenon that I opt not to participate in, but kind of want to anyway, is the marathon. Before Avengers, some theaters ran the previous five Marvel movies back to back. Before Dark Knight Rises, it's the same with the previous two Batmans. My butt gets sore during one movie, so I imagine it would be painful to sit through several in a row, but I'm tempted. I guess I could always wait and try it on the comfort of my own couch. Before Revenge of the Sith came out, I used to think about someday doing a marathon of all six Star Wars movies and wondering which order (plot-chronological or production-chronological) would be appropriate; now I can't even imagine spending an entire day on that.

As for Dark Knight Rises, I'm looking forward to seeing it asap soon too, and discussing it.
