hmmm... New Shows. I'm glad Las Vegas is back for a second season. A little miffed at Fox, that Tru Calling was pushed back to Mid-Season and cut down to 6 episodes. The show doesn't need a plot, just let me look at Eliza Dushku for 1 hour non-stop. I want to know how the WB can cancel a great show like Angel (which had its best season ever last year) and keep crap like 7th Heaven on the air. Looking forward to Enterprise's kick off next week. I also caught Veronica Mars. I saw it Sunday evening, it looked pretty good, even if it is on UPN. I might give it a try, if I remember to watch it. and remember 4 months til 24 :( And I have to say, CSI: NY is better than Miami but not as good as the original.

I have so much stuff backed up on my TiVo...I haven't had a chance to look at anything yet. Two eps of "Lost". Two eps of "Wife Swap". Season premiere of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition". I'll have to give my opinions later.

I don't watch television.

Almost everything mentioned is not my style - except for the O.C., but even that has already jumped the shark from cute little 90210 show to something that is just way too over the top, especially for it's viewing set. So I'll give the premiere a try, but I probably won't watch after that.
I love TiVo, it stops one from just watching whatever the networks feed us.

I love the Tivo too, but I have the Adelphia cable version. It's a digital converter box with a DVR built in. The best part about it is that there is a built in dual tuner. I can watch one show and record another, or record two shows at once and watch a third pre-recorded show.
It's pretty sweet and I didn't have to buy the equipment.
However, it lacks in certain features that Tivo has and the interface is lacking somewhat.

The alias thing had more to do with Jennifer Garner's schedule than anything. They had to push back filming because of her movie commitments, so Alias had to get pushed back to January. But, it will air uninterrupted. No preempting nor skipping weeks. Same as 24

I gotta say, as much as it pains me to agree with Mitzman. I caught the first episode of Lost last night, and it is damn good.

"Lost" looks good. I have two eps to catch up on.
But my fav so far..."Desperate Housewives"!!! It's right up my freakin' alley. Sexy. Trashy. Yayyy!

ABC apparently looked at Fox's ratings and figured, "Why not?"

Fox should be known as the Xerox network, because they now have a tendency to copy someone else's good idea and rush it to air.

So what do you TC posters think of the new fall season? The Apprentice is good as always, Survivor isn't too bad, Rescue Me is excellent if you like Denis Leary cyncial humor, but the best so far is The Lost. It has a bunch of actors in it (Matthew Fox from Party of Five, Dominic Mognahan from LOTR trilogy, etc.) It is very Stephen King like. I highly recommend watching ABC this saturday since they will be showing the first two episodes again.
