"Television has made America a nation of watchers, not doers."

Do you think this quote is accurate?

I doubt we'd be significantly more productive without it. People use television to unwind after a long day at work -- not having that passive entertainment makes it harder to relax, which makes the next long day at work even harder.

I know that when it comes to sports, video games have made American children players instead of doers.
