I am just wondering why so many people are using google image search to look for "old gas station" or "abandoned gas station" and hence happening upon The Cedars web page that I maintain. (link) OK I am sure posting this looks like a cheap way to try to get people to check the page but I'm genuinely curious about that gas station thing. It usually comes from people in weird countries like Belgium but it comes from all over. My page is not even one of the first hits yet this happens constantly. Well let's just say it is the number one reason people check the poor page, but the page only gets 2 hits a day so it might not be that amazing. Is there something really fascinating about old gas stations that I'm not aware of?

Also, anyone else with weird sitemeter stories to report may go ahead and mention them. I know I've been the target of some weird (sexual) google searches in the past but I can't remember exactly what.

I should probably look at that stuff more often for my own site, but I never do. Celebrity names have to be a big source of my new traffic. It's weird working in the industry and having web analytics mean so much to paying clients while my own site's analytics mean so little to me.

Good luck finding out the reason why your site comes up so often for "old gas station." That is, unless you already figured it out, in which case please do tell.

One of my co-bloggers posted a water color painting of gay Batman a year or two ago. It was an image of Batman kissing Robin.

For the next six months, we got up to 1000 visits per day from people searching various search engines, especially Google Images, for the word "gay."

You say "gay Batman" like there's any other kind. Has Superdickery taught us nothing?

Don't forget the guy from the TV version. Gayest by far.

And what about the guy from Batman Begins?

George Clooney apparently votes for himself as the gayest Batman. He told Barbara Walters half-jokingly that he intentionally played the character as gay. (link)

I was not impressed by the "love story" with either Vicki Vale or Rachel Dawes, and the less said about the interchangeable supermodel girlfriends of the other titles, the better. But on the other hand, is romance that integral a part of the character? Kris can school me on comics lore, but I don't think women have had much influence on the guy, except for Catwoman. This ain't Lois and Clark here. Katie Holmes won't be back for The Dark Knight, and I hope they don't replace her.

Live action TV's Batman was Adam West, also the star of the legendary "Lookwell" pilot.

And Kevin Conroy is the best Batman ever, even though most people have never heard of him.
