I'm also at 100% for a month now, and expecting the streak to come crashing down any day now. I don't go for the quick score (I usually open with READY and PIOUS to cover all six vowels, which means I can't win in less than 3 guesses); I seek contentment in winning consistently instead.

As someone who prefers web-based games to apps, and who prefers slow daily games over quick instant gratification, I feel a little vindicated that there's still a big potential audience for games like this. :-) I don't expect anything on Funeratic to become a hit; I just mean that people told me this sort of thing couldn't possibly take off and yet, it has.

It's been fun watching this little app gain so much traction. Each circle of friends has introduced me to it at different times. Scott, I like your approach with the first two words. I often have a lot of luck with SPEAR.

Despite my typical approach that I mentioned above, I'd rather not waste S in the opening word. Sometimes you have to start tossing out words just to test for certain consonants, and S can go on the end of many four-letter words to make them playable. :-\

With the New York Times $Million(s) acquisition of Wordle, it may soon be time to bid the game goodbye. It will probably be hidden behind a paywall of some kind that I'm not willing to do. Too bad.
