explanation: Richard "Dick" McDonald and Maurice "Mac" McDonald were the founders of the McDonald's restaurant chain, starting with their first location in San Bernardino, California. The company's original mascot was Sir Speedy, and they originated what they called the Speedee Service System, which became standard in the fast food industry.
