Thanks! We should be fine. Sarasota is in the middle of the west coast. The hurricane is heading up the east coast. We'll see some rain on the outer edge of the hurricane, but nothing severe. We've already heard that family and friends on the east coast are safe.
I have never been through a Hurricane Scott. What is it like to see a hurricane named after you? A coworker named Matthew over in Fort Lauderdale was bugging out of town the last time I talked to him; I didn't stop him to ask about the name thing.

Only 1 or 2 side comments so far. Since it's not affecting the Midwest directly, most around here just glance at news articles and move on. That could certainly change though if we see an aftermath like Katrina left in New Orleans. For all those affected on the east cost, I hope not!
