Since you obviously don't know me well enough to know what my "worked up" looks like, Erik (clue: this isn't it), I will refrain from making public any of the non-giggle-inducing comments that spring to mind.

Amy, where did you find the photo? Everywhere I search for "Mario Moretti" and find the same photo, it's labeled as Curcio.
I do sympathize.

I vote for never another rainbow week, who's with me?
Tony Peters | March 11, 2007
here here I have hated this whole week...I think I've answered like 2 all week
Scott Hardie | March 11, 2007
Any week where I don't have to come up with any of the seven goos is a good week in my book. Seriously, I liked Steve's goos or I wouldn't have put them in the game.
There's no telling what's easy or hard. I got Violet fairly quickly, but Blue and the original Orange stumped me but good and they shouldn't have.

This week is pretty effing hard....
Aaron Shurtleff | March 12, 2007
Well, I agree this week's been really hard, but I don't think we should dump the whole idea.
Tony Peters | March 12, 2007
ok well how about closer to the beginning of a round not the end
Amy Austin | March 13, 2007
I agree that it's been hard, but that is how the end of a round always is... this is part of the competition. I am not complaining about the level of difficulty -- I expect this at the end of each round, and yes, I do dread it, but this is how the winner is determined... otherwise, the round would never end!
Scott Hardie | March 13, 2007
I made my mistake last time. I was eager to run another "Don't I Know You from Somewhere?" week because I enjoy them, but those are some of the hardest goos in the game, and I should have saved them until the end of the round when they would have been more appropriate. Steve came up with great goos, but they were pretty hard, and they seemed to belong at the end. I do plan to cram in one last themed week starting this coming Sunday, of mixed difficulty.
The other lesson that I learned last time is that I don't need to make the final 10-20 goos of the round very hard. Most of the top players have already qualified by then, and anybody who narrowly misses the final cutoff has done so because of missing early goos, thus it feels like there's little drama or justice to it. And most of all, the very hard goos truly belong in the elimination round (the tiebreaker), not before. This time, I still intend to put up a few toughies in the final days, but they won't dominate it like last time, and they won't be impossible either. That's just not fun.

I didn't mean to sound like I was complaining. Just agreeing that the week was pretty hard.
Amy Austin | March 14, 2007
And I meant to say, too, that I thought Steve's theme week is a great idea... maybe we can expand upon that to something like, say, "Chakra Week"... ;-D (Really, I do like it.)
Scott Hardie | March 15, 2007
I like that idea, Amy. It's going on the list.
Adrianne Rodgers | March 17, 2007
I thought it was a really cool idea. It was just a cool idea that totally creamed me.

I found the same picture of "Renato Curcio" under my search for Mario Moretti -- also a Red Brigades member released in '98 -- and entered my guess based on the applicability of the clue and the source image match!!!
This is bullshit!
