Related question (off topic): how does an elimination bracket with 24 players work? 16, I can understand. 32, I understand. 24, I do not understand.

D'oh, you're right, sorry. Got mixed up with Mike Rothstein. How could I forget the orange peel glasses? Maybe Greg and Allison could inspire us all to show our food in our photos. I can hold up rice cakes.

24 becomes 12 becomes 6 becomes 3. Originally I was against any bracket with three people because of reduced individual odds, but I like the idea of the final bracket ending that way; it's a more unpredictable finish with a fair increase in difficulty. All three finalists will get prizes.

Also making this unpredictable: I will randomize the bracket order of the 24 finalists, rather than sort by userrank like in the past. Enough of the same pairs facing each other.

Ha! Scott, I thought you were just complaining about Greg's orange peel disguise. I think I should have posted a photo with something healthier/less appealing. That cruller makes me want to run to Dunkin Donuts every time I look at it.
