I want to say to everyone on this site that deserves to be in the H.O.F. Just want to say to all the players that who play on this site that haven't had a spot in GOO H.O.F will have their chance. Everyone on this site has great potential and is welled respected by everyone. I would like to say good luck to everyone to the Goo H.O.F who has not been chosen to be inducted yet. I would also like to tip my hat to Scott for keeping this site interesting for all players. So lets give Scott a big Thank you for what he's done over the years......Nice job Scott!!!!!!! I am looking forward for your new ideas and players new ideas to this site in the future!!!!!!!!! :)

Thanks, Chris! It's been a pleasure running this game for thirteen years now. Kai's Power Goo, the classic software that I still use to create most goos (and that inspired the game's name), comes pre-stocked with a handful of photos of famous people for beginners to toy with, and it's illustrative of the definition of "celebrity" at the time the game started: Oliver North. Boris Yeltsin. Princess Diana. Manuel Noriega. Marion Barry. I haven't thought about these people in ages. Today's hottest celebrity might be Justin Bieber, who was still in diapers when the game began.

I will publish the 2011 inductee to the Hall of Fame around 10pm est tomorrow night.

People have predicted Amy's induction to the Hall of Fame for years, but it became especially widespread in 2010, leading to surprise when the honoree turned out to be Russ. I tried to tamper that by saying that there are unannounced eligibility requirements and Russ was the only one who met them at the time (which is no slight to him; he obviously deserved it). Since then, it seems that people have been a lot more cautious about prematurely crowning any inductee - even Chris didn't make a prediction after asking the question himself.

Well, the one year when nobody was bold enough to predict Amy turned out to be her year: Amy is 2011's very deserving inductee to the Hall of Fame. She has dominated not just the game but this entire site for a long time now. I hope that this tribute does her justice. Congratulations, my friend.

I was late in drafting this text, so Amy hasn't had a chance to comment on it yet. If she has an official response, I'll append it to the page and mention it here.
