clue: Whatever your feelings about American military action, your right to express them via your yard was protected by this Missourian litigant in the 1990s.
explanation: In 1990, Gilleo put up a yard sign objecting to military action in the Persian Gulf. The city removed them, citing ordinances about visual clutter. trivia: This goo was published only a few days after the U.S. and Israel attacked Iran on February 28, 2026, but the timing was entirely a coincidence. Gilleo was one of hundreds of notable people who Scott had recorded as potential subjects for future goos over the years, and her name came up randomly when he turned to the list for ideas for another goo in early March 2026. However, Scott definitely had the recent news on his mind as he proceeded to make the goo.
