The Baby Ruth is a tribute to Caddyshack and the infamous doody in the swimming pool scene.

Pieces O' Fate is a play off of pieces of eight. It's piratical money and stuff. :P

The Sepoy Mutiny helped me out in a pinch in Gothic Earth when I needed to improvise the name of an Indian restaurant.

The short version of how I came to Green Destiny: It's the sword from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, which is still a favorite movie of mine. I think that Erik and I are the only ones to copy our record label names from Rock Block to the new game.

The long version: When I was first building Rock Block years ago, I planned on having a hex color of #000000, pure black. I created record labels for a handful of major users on the site to test the game prior to launch, people who I predicted would become major players. (Anna Gregoline and Jackie Mason were among them. Oops.) I gave each test account a randomly generated color, and Anna wound up with #82D36F. The more I saw this pretty shade of green in use on cards, the more I liked it, so I decided to make it mine instead of black. At launch, I was just "Shard Records," after my habit at the time of coding players in the database according to the first letter of their first name and first four letters of their last name, like swest and ashur and smeht for the people in this discussion. But I wanted something better, and stumbled across Green Destiny when coming up with concert titles inspired by player colors. The name stuck. As Erik pointed out after Pirate Paradise launched, it sounds like a good name for a pirate ship.
