Heaven & Hell
Russ Wilhelm | September 9, 2007
Got to it right before I did. I have played several games, and have lost to the devil each time I've played him. The last tiem he acheived a Rock Block on me. Yeah, he cheats. But Angel plays fair.
Only two things missing, which may already be in the works. The ability to choose different levels, and having a choice to be the challenger or defender.
On the plus side, the strategies used seem to be different each time, so honing your skills against these opponents should not be an issue.
All-in-all, I give it two thumbs up.
Russ Wilhelm | September 9, 2007
OK. OK. If anyone beats the devil, I want to know about it. Another Rock Block when I should have kicked him all over the board. He's a real, what's the word I'm looking for, it rhymes with "bad word", it's ah, um, eh.........
Scott Hardie | September 9, 2007
Hehe. I beat him 6-4, but it took me a while. He's a cheatin' sonuvabitch.
I did not have those suggestions in the works, but I do now. Thanks for the good ideas. I believe Devil is easier to beat at lower levels, so I'm inclined to allow those choices only after you win the first time.
In honor of Charlie Daniels, maybe for beating Devil the prize should be a golden card.

Mad turd???
Amy Austin | September 9, 2007
MAN, I hate it when I'm not quick enough to beat other posts!!! >;-p
Awesome concept, though, Scott! ("Heaven & Hell", I mean...)
Russ Wilhelm | September 9, 2007
That would be an awsome idea Scott, but maybe an R1 or R2, as promotions are removing these from players hands. I for one would consider R1's as "golden" at this point, so would I think several other players whom I've seen crunched by this. But I'm sure you've already got the "golden" card figured out, and I'm sure it will be a gas.
Russ Wilhelm | September 9, 2007
Or, (I know, I'm still waiting to hear "Let's go") bands that have songs with devil in the title. Elvis, Devil in Disguise. Van Halen, Running With The Devil. Cliff Richard, Devil Woman. Beatles, Devil In Her Heart". And of course the CDB, Devil Went Down To Georgia. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
Amy Austin | September 9, 2007
That would be funny if all the Devil's cards were bands like that! ;-DDD (I know you mean for a "golden card" if you beat the Devil... ;-D)
Amy Austin | September 9, 2007
Okay... there is definitely some cheating going on! I don't *think* it's intentional, but what do I know! To Hell with me if I can't take a joke, right? ;-DDD Seriously, though... Scott, if you can look at my current concert with Mr. Rodger right where it is, you should be able to see that there's truly something buggy with this mad turd.
Scott Hardie | September 9, 2007
Nothing buggy about it. He's just a dick.
Amy Austin | September 9, 2007
Are you serious?!?!?! :-O Cheating really is programmed into this side?!?!?! OMG... then how could you possibly *ever* beat him?!?!? ;-D
I guess I'm going to have to stick with playing the Angel if I want a straight match then!
Amy Austin | September 9, 2007
Okay, that's just some straight-up bullshit -- I just finished what should have been *my* win 7-3, but he made it come out completely the opposite. That's just plain messed up. >;-ppp
Amy Austin | September 9, 2007
Ah-ha... I see... Angel doesn't use Hidden like some mad turds, either...
Russ Wilhelm | September 9, 2007
That's what I'm saying Amy. I had the dirtbag at 7-2, dependent on his last card, and he pulled a Rock Block on me. Don't ya wish you had some of his moves?

Amy Austin | September 9, 2007
Yeah, that's what pissed me off, too, Lori -- not even subtle about it!!!
Russ: Sorry, man... I had thought you were just being facetious about the cheating (thought the Devil was just "that good"!!!) -- and yeah, that would be sorta' neat, but I don't think there are any players here who aren't astute enough for us to get away with it! ;-DDD
Russ Wilhelm | September 10, 2007
I beat his sorry lookin', red hot, pear shaped behind. Left him on his knees, humbled in my presence, crushed under my heel, beaten like a rug, cryin' like a baby.
Of course my record against him looks like this.
Russ has won 1 concert, Devil has won 25 concerts, and there has been 1 draw.
What it doesn't say is that 19 of those 25 concerts were "Rock Blocks" for the dirtbag.
But.......I won, I won, I won, I won,.........................................................................................
Amy Austin | September 10, 2007
Heheheh...
But Russ, you do realize that your link doesn't go to that record, don't you? (It's all in your own head.... muahahahaha!)
Russ Wilhelm | September 10, 2007
It's the devil I tell you. He's trying to cover up his humiliation.
Ah, you should have seen the battle, he'd swing left, I'd duck right, it was the stuff of legends. Spitting insults back and forth. He lost all control when I hurled "Yo Mama". In his anger he made his fatal mistake, and BLAM!!! It was over.
Amy Austin | September 10, 2007
Hahaha... well, it must be my lucky night -- my record with the prick stands at 1-10-0!!! Maybe I'll hit the trifecta with a card tonight, too! ;-)
Scott Hardie | September 10, 2007
Fyi, no one can see your concerts against Angel or Devil except you.
Congrats to the Devil defeaters so far!
Russ Wilhelm | September 10, 2007
See, I knew it was a cover up.
Joanna Woods | September 10, 2007
I beat the devil in only 2 concerts...
Russ Wilhelm | September 10, 2007
I don't think I like you anymore :-)
Joanna Woods | September 10, 2007
Sorry I just tried and it worked. Finally my lack of strategy paid off!!!!
Russ Wilhelm | September 10, 2007
Yeah, well you can see how well my "perfect" strategy did against him. It just has to be the cards that are causing my bad luck.
Aaron Shurtleff | September 10, 2007
I got the devil! Yay!!
When he finally forgot to cheat! >:(
Tony Peters | September 10, 2007
damn I got my ass whooped by the devil....it's the cheating that sucks I can get close and then bam I loose 3 cards

Rock Block finally has AI opponents to practice against, in Heaven & Hell. I don't know if there are going to be questions or comments about it, but I figured I'd separate them from other discussions if there are. Enjoy the new page.
