Besides the miniature movie theater I do plan to build for myself someday, lottery or no, if I won some megabucks I'd build a Nintendo room in my house: Comfortable seating, big-screen television and surround sound, and a collection of every Nintendo game ever made. I would only buy the systems up front, though; I'd probably get more fun out of gradually tracking down the games and collecting them than I would out of actually playing them. I suppose this is something I could afford to start doing now, but screw it; I'd only waste money on old video games en masse if I had more money than I knew what to do with. :-)

I dunno...because whatever I buy wouldn't be useless to me. There's a purpose for everything I'd buy.

That being said, I'd buy an "Endless Pool"...which is a small pool in which a continuous current flows, allowing you to "swim in place".

I'd hire a band to play at my next birthday party a la Jeff Spicoli in Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Probably Harry Connick, Jr. or Brian Setzer. Aerosmith maybe... That would be soooo cool seeing those guys jammin' in my back yard.

I wouldn't buy a thing so much as a lifestyle -- I'd just use the financial independence to travel wherever I wanted, both int his country and elsewhere.

I thought you were supposed to build a role-playing game room for the gaming group Scott! Now I'm all disappointed in you!

Me, I'd have to build the best rec room around. It would have to have an HO model railroad, which I would be building in my spare time. A place to watch movies on the largest TV I could find or have built. A place to play RPGs with that same gaming group and finally a place to have parties at.

Oh man...you know what I always wanted. I used to carry a picture of one around with me a few years ago. I guess I forgot about it. Now THAT would be cool.

I would buy lots of electronics I thought were cool - useless stuff. Actually, I would probably troll design firms and build really wacky useless rooms in my mansions. I think it was Billy Joel who had a bathroom that looked normal from the outside but when you went inside it was a cramped little airplane bathroom?
