Ten Replies to Streaming Stuff in 2022

Scott Hardie | January 4, 2022
You are impressively organized! Kelly and I have a few weekly favorites that we keep current on (Last Week Tonight, The Amber Ruffin Show, whatever Star Trek or MCU series is new), but otherwise we just drift aimlessly to whatever new thing catches our attention that we can binge in a week (right now: Queer Eye S6) and have no plan at all. No wonder it takes me years to get around to stuff that I once really wanted to see. I appreciate the inspiration. :-)

Oh the list will be even longer once I include Fall stuff (or even if I included this past Fall...).

I've watched entirely too much television and it would take a long time to summarize, but my purpose is to try to find 'someone watching too'.

I would suggest The Witcher and Midnight Mass (Netflix) though, as the first won't likely continue til '23 and the second was a limited series.

Scott Hardie | January 4, 2022
I hadn't even heard of Midnight Mass before! I just watched the trailer (which is way too drowned out by a song) and, well, maybe. I have little stomach for horror any more and Kelly has none whatsoever, but it does look promising. The Witcher has been on my list since it came out; perhaps its time has come. Thanks!

I never watched the trailer for MM - I just kept hearing about it until I finally gave in, lol.

Yes - The Witcher is quality television and this season is amazing, especially after just completing a meh first season of The Wheel of Time.

You've been involved in Funeratic for ten years today, Evie. I don't know whether that's counting from your Gothic Earth debut or your activity on the rest of the site, but they were so close together that I don't think it matters. I'm glad you're still here and still active after all this time. :-)

Awww, thanks Scott! Thanks for having this site where I know I can talk to at least one other person (thank goodness there are more) about the movies! (And tv. Man, I gotta update this ;/)

9-1-1: Lone Star | Fox (Hulu) | Season 3

9-1-1: Lonestar is a spinoff of 9-1-1 starring Rob Lowe as an FDNY firefighter who survived 9/11 who moves to Austin, TX to be the chief of "The 126" - a house that had lost all but two members to a deadly fire. One remains on the crew, one does not - he was the chief and causes a bunch of issues. Here is the logline: A New York firefighter relocates to Austin, Texas with his son, where he works to save people's lives while trying to solve his own personal problems. Go »

Raised by Wolves | HBOMax | Season 1 | 10 Episodes

I have been watching this off and on since 2020. It was very slow at first and for a long time, I completely forgot about it. But I joined a club called Sci Fi Matters on Clubhouse and they also have a Discord for off-line chatting. Go »

Lupin | Netflix| Seasons 1 & 2 | 10 Episodes

Ok to be clear - this really was just one season covering one story, split up into two parts. Michael Dorn was in Clubhouse last year and they let folks come up and ask him questions. I was lucky enough to be chosen to come up. Go »
