trivia: Scott resisted the impulse to make a goo of the famous image for years, out of respect for a stranger's privacy in his final moments. But on the 25th anniversary, as the events of 9/11 recede into history, Scott observed that the photo had become less about the man and more about the significance of what happened. Scott opted to keep the identity of the man (long considered solved and confirmed by his family) out of the goo as a compromise.
