If any goo game players are wondering why this week has two king goos, it's because I miscalculated the round for today's Music goo. I thought that it was going to be the first goo of the March round, but instead it's the final goo of the February round. I have a little tool that's supposed to help me avoid scheduling mistakes like this, but it was insistent that scheduling the Music goo for today would make it part of the March round, and I listened to it instead of the nagging voice in the back of my head saying that the math seemed off.
Compounding the problem, I initially thought that the error was in the scheduling of the goo, so I manually reassigned today's goo to March before realizing the problem and resetting it back to February. If you got a false notification about goo game news, that was my announcement about fixing the goo's scheduling that I subsequently deleted a few minutes later.
Developers love leap years!
So, February has two "normal" king goos. This is the first time that's happened, although there have been previous rounds with one "normal" and one or more "abnormal" king goos where the exact wording varied: Round XXIV had King Hussein and King Abdullah II, Round XXV had Regina King, Lil Jon, and Chris Webber, and Round XXVII had King Arthur and Julia Lannerheim.
