A panel of experts (a group of listeners to Britain's BBC 6) have determined the worst duet in history. Obviously this group has no credentials or necessarily any credibility and history is such a long time. But that's a pretty good vote if schmaltz makes a song bad. I would have voted for a song that would be the musical equivalent of a mosquito in my ear (Bowie and Jagger duet not a bad pick).

Dumb Criminals And Other Court Type Stuff
Small potpourri of MENSA reject criminals, frivolous lawsuits and just dumb laws. Cupcake Burglar; Cheeseburger Lawsuit; Drunken Sock Eater; Saggy Trouser Law; and Goofy Streaker. The most shocking story to me is this last one in which a victimized Kirsten Dunst had her room burgled and items stolen including a $13,000 handbag. Go »Book Autopsies
An artist named Brian Dettmer has a unique talent, at least I've never seen anything like it. Book autopsies in which he pares books to various levels and displays portions of their contents, words and illustrations, for an interesting perspective. Very clever. In all honesty, I felt physically ill after about 1/3 of the way through this list. I could actually taste some of this nauseating stuff and it made my stomach churn. I don't even want to know what raw horseflesh flavor is like. Go »Rock, Paper, Saddam!

Personally, I would have picked the *other* McCartney duet (with Michael Jackson) -- have you ever heard that one??? That song is pure, unadulterated Velveeta cheese food product, and the dopier/more annoying tune by far. The way more ubiquitous quality of "Ebony & Ivory" is the only reason I can imagine for it getting beat out. Just my opinion.
